Proudspace runs on EU servers — your data is protected by the strictest privacy law in the world. And for us that’s not an obligation but the starting point: we’ve been factoring privacy in since the very first sketch.
Data minimalism and no external ads.
We never sell data, and we have no investors who could tell us otherwise. If you ever see an ad, it’s our own. Privacy isn’t a feature here — it’s the default.
Real people, no bots.
Verify yourself right at sign-up — in a way that means we never see or store your ID data. Verified profiles carry a badge, and we take consistent action against fakes and bots.
Visibility as a choice.
For everyone who can’t or doesn’t want to be publicly visible: Proudspace includes many features that protect you — with “Not out” mode, nobody sees more than you want.

WHO WE ARE
Two people, one cause.
We’ve known each other for 13 years — back then, we found each other on dbna. It wasn’t a dating app, more of a social network for queer boys. You’d simply talk, meet people from all over Germany — some of them are friends to this day.
That kind of place doesn’t really exist anymore. The apps around today work differently — faster, more anonymous, and honestly, almost everywhere it’s mostly about sex. There’s nothing wrong with that, but when it’s the only thing, something is missing.
Proudspace is our attempt to bring both under one roof: a community where you can simply meet — and alongside it, clearly separated, room for dates, hookups and open conversations about sex. We don’t believe those two contradict each other. It just takes clear structures, so everyone decides for themselves what they’re looking for right now.
What exactly that is stays entirely open. Some are looking for friends, some for someone to game with, some for a date and some simply for people to talk to about certain topics. To us, all of that is worth the same — Proudspace should work for all of it.

A community and dating app. We start with the community: feed, hubs, events, friendships, belonging. Dating follows later as its own area, for everyone who’s looking for that too.
Proudspace is for gay, bi and trans men as well as masculine-identifying non-binary people aged 18+ in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. More countries and languages are firmly planned. Whether we open up to more of the queer spectrum beyond that is something we’re keeping open, together with the community.
The community is free and stays free. The later dating features run through an optional Plus offering – if you only want the community, you pay nothing.
No. You decide how visible you are — with plenty of settings that control who sees what about you.
As little as possible. We only collect what the app truly needs, strictly follow the GDPR, and never sell data. For us, privacy is the foundation, not the fine print.
We start with the community beta. Join the waitlist and you’ll be there at launch. The dating layer follows a few months later.
